The Lightning Protector does not protect against a direct lightning strike. It reduces the risk of damage to your EnGenius telephone equipment from indirect lightning strikes by protecting the equipment against static discharge and electric surges from the lightning. The LPK limits surge voltage to reduce levels and redirects their discharge to the ground, where it dissipates.
