Physical Installation:

Installed at the back of the residence and mounted about 8-10ft high.
The AP is wired to the network using Ethernet cable (outdoor rated).

Recommended Settings:

Please make sure that the AP is on the latest firmware.

On the 2.4GHz Wireless:

A. Perform an AP Scan for other 2.4GHz wifi sources. Please take note of the channels used and their corresponding signal strengths.

B. Set the Channel HT mode to 20MHz only and disable Auto-channel. Set the wireless frequency/channel to the least congested 2.4GHz non-overlapping channel ( 1, 6, or 11).

C. WPA2-PSK(AES only) is the recommended wireless security setting.

On the 5Ghz Wireless:

A. Perform an AP Scan for other 5GHz wifi sources. Please take note of the channels used and their corresponding signal strengths.

B. Disable Auto-channel and set the wireless/frequency to the least congested non-DFS 5Ghz wireless channel. For outdoor use, try setting the APs on channels 149 and above.

C. WPA2-PSK(AES only) is the recommended wireless security setting.
